Whispering Farms – 300 acres of country living, with the conveniences of a master planned community. Hike & Bike Trails - 2 and a half miles of hiking/biking/equestrian trails weave through the 300 plus acres that make up Whispering Farms. Pedestrians and bikes share a 6 foot concrete path, and separated by a fence is the equestrian riding path that ranges from 8 feet to over 18 feet wide on a natural surface.
All the paths eventually meet and lead to the Town Lake and Park. This 27 acre lake is designed to provide many afternoons of enjoyment with activities such as boating, fishing or picnicking.
Equestrian Center - This world class facility contains a 100' x 240' covered riding arena, 52 boarding stalls, separate wash, tacking, feed and grooming stalls, 4 "Stud" stalls, and a conference area overlooking the arena. Also, included on the over 25 acre property is a covered exercise ring and separate feed barn. A completely modern facility, it also boasts a fly-sprayer system to protect the horses against annoying insects.
In addition to boarding, the center offers private and group lessons, and rental space for special events.
Gentle Creek Golf Club - Located across the street from Whispering Farms, this club offers an 18-hole, par 72 course winding through 236 acres of grass fairways, forest, rolling hills, and a 20-acre lake. Gentle Creek is a private club open to non-residents or permanent residents of Whispering Farms.
